MODERN COUNTRY

Sun in Your Hands (EN)

A love born from a single question.

Sun in Your Hands comes from a poem I wrote many years ago, when the woman who is now my wife asked me why I loved her. The words that came out that day stayed with me, and eventually became this modern country love ballad. It’s a piece rooted in sincerity and young devotion — a moment that has carried us through more than three decades together.

BOSSA - NOVA

Você é a Luz de Sol (PT)

The Bossa Nova she heard in my heart.

Você é a Luz de Sol began the moment my wife heard Sun in Your Hands and told me she could imagine it as a Bossa Nova. She felt the warmth of the original poem belonged in Portuguese — in the rhythm and language she loves most. This version is her vision of the song, shaped by the same love that inspired it all.

TECHNO - FADO

Futuro
(PT)

The future I imagined, carried into our life.

Futuro began as a poem where I tried to put into words the future I hoped we would share — a vision of love, partnership, and possibility. Over time, those hopes became real, and the poem found its true home in Portuguese, becoming this techno‑fado fusion. It’s a song about imagining a life together… and then waking up one day to find you’re living the very future you dreamed.

NEW AGE

Invisible as Night

A poem about a poem, drifting into the ether.

Invisible as Night began as a poem about a poem — an attempt to capture the feeling of something you can’t quite hold, yet somehow stays with you. The New Age version lets that idea dissolve into the ether, becoming a quiet, weightless meditation. It’s a piece meant to lift you out of the physical world and into the space where thoughts, feelings, and silence blend together.

EDM

Invisible as Night (EDM)

The ether, but with a pulse.

The poem behind Invisible as Night carried two voices — one soft and weightless, and another that wanted to burst with energy. This EDM version is that second voice: the one that celebrates the emotion of the ether instead of simply floating in it. It’s the feeling of something mysterious and unspoken, turned into movement, rhythm, and release.

Saudade a Arder (PT)

A soldier’s longing, carried across generations.

Saudade a Arder is inspired by a poem my father wrote in 1963 while stationed in Angola — a young marine at war, separated from the woman he loved, waiting for letters that kept their connection alive. She watched for the mailman, he waited for word from her, and together they lived a love held together by distance, hope, and saudade. This song is my tribute to that story, and to the emotion that still burns through our family’s history.

Uptempo Vira Crossover

O Pobre Vestido (PT)

A Portuguese wedding, seen through a ruined dress.

O Pobre Vestido is the Portuguese counterpart to The Poor Poor Dress, told in the spirit of a fast, uptempo vira. It celebrates the uniquely Portuguese side of our wedding—the food, the band, the nonstop dancing, and the way no one wanted the night to end. By the time the celebration finally wound down, my wife’s dress carried every step, every spin, every embrace. This version turns that memory into a high‑energy Portuguese folk‑dance crossover, honoring how our cultures came together around us.

The Poor Poor Dress

A 400‑person wedding, told by her dress.

The Poor Poor Dress comes straight from our wedding night, when American and Portuguese families packed into one hall and refused to let the party end. The music was loud, the dancing was wild, and by the time the lights finally came on, my wife’s dress had lived every moment of it. This techno country / folktronica crossover captures that beautiful chaos—the joy, the culture, and the way one dress became the storyteller of the whole night.

Two Hearts as One

A love story written in letters and lived in life.

Two Hearts as One is the English counterpart to a song based on a poem my father wrote while serving in Angola — a young soldier writing letters from war, and his girlfriend anxiously waiting for the mailman to bring news from him. Their love, lived through distance and hope, became one of the greatest examples of devotion in my life. We’re releasing this version just days before my father’s birthday, and I hope that up in heaven he enjoys the sound.

MODERN COUNTRY

Anniversary Journey

A love story told mile by mile.

Anniversary Journey began as a poem I wrote for one of our anniversaries — a reflection on the road we’ve traveled together, with all the wonderful ups and the challenging downs that shaped us into who we are. It’s a Modern Country piece that celebrates the long ride of love: the dreams, the detours, the heartbreaks, and the triumphs that strengthen us every day. This song is our story, carried across the miles.
